PARCO NORD MILANO

MEDHELAN - The fabulous story of a land and MEDHELAN - International Cover Contest are produced by Parco Nord Milano.
Parco Nord Milano was set up in 1975 and works on planning re-naturalization, leisure and environmental education issues in the northern outskirts of Milan. The park is 650 hectares wide and it is located in a densely urbanized area, characterized by the presence of historical buildings (now almost completely disappeared as a result of de-industrialization) and large areas of construction. It counts up to 2.5 million visitors per year. In 1994 an agreement was signed with Regional Government of Lombardy to set up and manage the Environmental Education Regional Archives, thus it has become the regional leader on this issue.
It is member of Periurban Parks, an exchange project by European Union in order to improve environmental conditions in suburban areas.
